One person was killed and at least 12 persons, including 10 women, abducted when bandits attacked Kerawa Village in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State in the wee hours of Friday, Daily Treust reports.

A youth leader in the community, Jamil Kerawa, confirmed the incident, saying the bandits operated unchallenged.

“They abducted 12 people two male and 10 women after killing one person. One other was injured and rushed to hospital in Zaria. We need help in Kerawa because only God is protecting us,” he said.

He appealed to the state government to deploy security personnel in the area, lamenting the increase in attacks.
