Alhaji Abdu Usman, Bauchi State Auditor General has on Sunday sustained gun wounds following a failed kidnap attempt by yet to be identified gunmen, Tribune Online can report.
Reports say the incident occurred on Sunday evening along Bauchi-Tafawa Balewa road when the Auditor General was travelling to his village.
Details about the failed kidnap attempt was still scanty as at press time.
WikkiTimes recalled that a former member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abdulmumuni Hassan Ningi, was last week also abducted by gunmen who later released him after an undisclosed amount was paid as ransom.
