The Bauchi State Judicial Panel of Inquiry set up by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed to look into the allegations of human rights abuses and brutalities meted by operatives of the defunct Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS on citizens of the state has opened up doors for submission of petitions.
The Committee in a statement issued by the Secretary of the panel, Barrister Sabi’u Adamu Gumba stated that based on the new mandate given to the panel, the general public can submit relevant complaints or petitions to the Secretariat of the committee situated at Abubakar Umar Secretariat, Bauchi.
Barrister Gumba added that all complaints or petitions must be submitted in three copies and shall be in written, electronic or oral form.
He said all petitions must contain the name, proper address and means of contact of the complainant/ petitioner.
The statement added that all written petitions must be submitted to the Secretariat of the panel at Abubakar Umar Secretariat or at former High Court two-venue of it’s sitting.
