Comrade Abdullahi Yelwa of the Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Bauchi has emerged National Publicity Secretary of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics ASUP.
The election took place at the 15th National delegate conference of the union held at Illaro, Ogun state.
A statement made available to WikkiTimes indicated that, Anderson Ezibe from zone D emerged National President, Mohammad Gbate from zone A emerged Vice President, while Shamah Kpaja from zone B was elected secretary general.
Also elected are Tonwei Thompson from zone D as Assistant Sec Gen. and Dauda Rilwan majoji from zone A as treasurer of the union.
Others elected into various offices according to the statement include, Chika ogunwa from zone D financial secretary, Abdullahi yalwa from zone B publicity secretary, Yusuf hussaini zone B internal auditor.
The conference also saw the election of zonal coordinators including precious Nwakodo zone D, Gizo mankot zone B, Mureni yekini zone C, kashim Mohammed zone A while Yusuf Usman dutse was elected as Ex-Officio.
