For The First Time In 62 Years, Ningi Emirate Turbans New Waziri

For the first time in a period spanning 62 years following the suspension of the title and office, the Emir of Ningi, Dr Yunusa Muhammad Danyaya has turbaned Ambassador Shuaibu Adamu as the 4th Wazirin-Ningi 

WikkiTimes reports that Ningi Emirate has been without Waziri since 1961 when the Northern Region Government ordered the suspension of the office to maintain peace and tranquillity in the Emirate.

The Emir said he found it expedient and absolutely necessary to fill in the vacuum of the Waziri office in the emirate, hence the decision of the Emirate Council to turban  Adamu.

“The search was not easy, the result was the selection and subsequent appointment of Amb. Adamu as Wazirin Ningi.

“Adamu was selected based on his track record, community service, exemplary conduct and Support to the emir and the Emirate.

“Waziri is a highly exalted office which had tremendous influence in the administration of the kingdom,” Danyaya said. 

The Emir further explained that the Waziri is the chairman of the kingmakers of the emirate.

Responding, the newly turbaned Waziri Ningi Ambassador Shuaibu Ahmed Adamu pledged to be loyal to the emirate and the Emirate Council.

He assured the people of the Emirate of his quest to explore his influence to move the area to the promised land.

WikkiTimes learnt that Ambassador Adamu was a former Ambassador of Nigeria to Qatar during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan having served as  Special Adviser to a former Bauchi State governor Ahmed Adamu Muazu. Currently, he is the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Reporting Council of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
