Nigerian Army Killed Our Children, Put Their Corpses in Sacks – Kaduna Bomb Attack Survivors

Survivors of the Kaduna Sunday bomb attacks have expressed their grievances over the loss of their loved ones to the Nigerian Army.

Idris Dahiru, a resident of Tudun Biri, a community in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has narrated how he lost 34 relatives to the Nigerian Army drone bombing that occurred on Sunday evening.

In an interview with the BBC Hausa, Dahiru said the jet that bombed his relatives was invisible during the incident.

“We could only hear bombings,” he stated. “They (army) killed our children, our relatives, women. Some of their corpses were split into flesh.”

The survivor added that he lost 34 relatives while several others are currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

“In my family,” he said, “we lost 34 and 66 receiving treatment at Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital.”

“Some corpses were put in sacks,” she said.

She recalled that there were two explosions with about 30 minutes intervals, explaining that those who came to evacuate the first victims were bombed down as well.

“There were two explosions with the intervals of about 30 minutes. Those who came to help were bombed. There is a house with only one survivor. Some lost dozens of relatives. They were doing Maudud,” she added.

According to Hajiya A’isha, there were no security personnel at the scene after the incident.

Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has sympathised with the families of the victims, describing the incident as very painful.

In a statement by the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation on Tuesday, Tinubu directed for swift medical attention to surviving victims, saying the “bombing mishap” was “very unfortunate, disturbing, and painful”.

WikkiTimes had earlier reported that the incident occurred on Sunday evening when a military jet reportedly unleashed havoc on the unsuspecting residents, casting a dark shadow over the festive occasion.

The Nigerian Army has admitted responsibility for the drone attack but the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) demands a thorough investigation and compensation for victims of the military drone attack on Tudun Biri community in Kaduna State.
