ISWAP Commander Executes Deputy for Failing to Thwart Military Invasion

In a brutal display of power, the commander of Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP), Abu Muhammed, has executed his deputy, Abu Darda, for allegedly enabling a military operation that led to the killing of 41 fighters, including a high-ranking commander, Abu-Zahra Munzir.

The execution, which took place in the presence of other fighters, underscores the ruthless tactics of the terrorist group and its determination to maintain its stronghold in the region. The recent raid by the Nigerian military on ISWAP’s hideout in Dikwa Local Government of Borno State, was seen as a significant victory in the fight against terrorism in the region.

Sources said Abu Darda was killed in the presence of other fighters in Kajeri Dogumba village in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State.

Intelligence sources claim that Abu Muhammed accused Abu Darda of leading a failed attack on March 19th in Mafa, which resulted in the killing of scores of terrorists and the capturing of two gun trucks.

Abu Muhammed was reportedly furious with Abu Darda for the failed attack. The commander lamented loss of brazen fighters, as well as the burning of his foodstuff and newly acquired furniture meant for his upcoming wedding.

ISWAP has been responsible for several deadly attacks in Nigeria, and the recent raid by the military is seen as a significant victory against the terrorist group.
