Just In: Atiku Defeats Tinubu, Others With Landslide in Bauchi

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has won the 2023 presidential election held on Saturday in Bauchi State with a wide margin.

The victory means that the former vice president defeated his closet contender, Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), having scored 426,607 votes.

The presidential election Collation Officer for Bauchi, Professor Abdulkarim Sambo while announcing the result said that Tinubu polled 316,694 votes to trail Atiku from behind.

On the other hand, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso went home with 72,103 votes at the end of the election in Bauchi State to settle for third ranked presidential candidate in the state

Similarly, Peter Obi of Labour Party (LP), polled a total of 27,373 votes to become fourth.

WikkiTimes reports that the election in Bauchi State was violent free.
