Nigerian Army Ambushes, Kill Terrorists in Kaduna

Nigerian army troops operating in Kaduna have ambushed a terror group on transit to repair their operational motorbikes in Kaduna village killing three and recovered arms and ammunitions.

The troops acting on intelligence report ambushed the terrorists group who were riding motorcycles, allegedly going for repairs along Kidandan village of Giwa LGA, Kaduna state on Friday, 

 A statement by Nigerian Army Headquarters in its X handle, said the terror elements riding on motorbikes, which is their major means of carrying out their nefarious acts, engaged the troops in a gun duel which led to the death of three terrorists and recovery of weapons such as Ak47 rifle, 4 motorbikes and one Motorola radio among others.

“During the operation on Friday, 4 April 2024, around  Kidandan Village, Giwa Local Government of Kaduna State, the troops engaged the terrorists in a gun battle, neutralizing 3 of them. The terrorist group was on transit to repair their motorbikes, which they used as mobility when unleashing their acts of terror on the populace in Kaduna State and across the Northwest region.

“The operation also led to the recovery of one Ak 47 Rifle, one stock Ak 47 Rifle, 4 motorbikes, and one Motorola Radio”, it said. 

The Nigerian army restates its commitments towards the safety of citizens in the ongoing operations to combat terrorism and other form of insurgency, calling for continued support from the people to security agencies with valuable information as they strive to mitigate security challenges in the country.
