Ten Delegates Represent Bauchi At A Five-Day Conference on Security In Abuja

Ten youth from Bauchi State represent the state at a five-day National Youth Conference on security, governance and employment organised by the Federal Government in Abuja.

Bauchi State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Hon Adamu Manu stated this on Monday.

The Commissioner described the conference as a welcome development as it will go a long way in developing the capacity of the participants for full participation in governance.

He appreciated the foresight of the Federal Government for coming up with the initiative and tasked participants from the state to make good use of the opportunity to increase their knowledge in governance.

The Commissioner said the ministry will continue to seek partnership with critical stakeholders in order to ensure youth development in line with the desire of the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed to tackle the challenges faced by youth in the state.

Hon Manu Soro, therefore, said the state government has made necessary arrangements for the safety and welfare of the Bauchi delegates throughout their five-day conference.

Mr Sunday Dare, Minister of Youths and Sports said that the National Youth Conference with the theme” Energizing the Youth Inclusiveness, Governance, Security and Employment will focus on young Nigerians on the need to increase their participation in governance.

The Minister said President Muhammadu Buhari has deemed it necessary to approve the conference which is the first of its kind to discuss the urgent issues confronting youth in Nigeria.
