WikkiTimes had reported that the Kano State Government married off 1,500 couples across 44 local council areas of the state.

Yarmaishinkafi, however, bemoaned that some of the female applicants give stiff conditions, the omen that leads to a tedious search.

She said: “Most of the females want only wealthy spouses while some males stick to only educated ladies and others would apply for short, fair, etc. There are some that apply barren partners.”

The stipulated conditions are normally accompanied by impatience from the prospective spouses, giving them insufficient time to make connections that they believe would last long.

She said maidens take the larger portion of the applicants while divorcees occupy the other portion.

According to her, most of their male clients have jobs, helping the scheme in ensuring decent and seamless marriage contracts.

She said part of their services includes reconciliation between the partners in case of marital disagreements, “We also reconcile in case of disagreements,” Yarmaishinkafi said.

Yarmaishinkafi held that the initiative presently has over 300 female and over 100 male prospective spouses.

She noted that several applicants meet them in designated places including their residential houses to register their request.

“Sometimes they meet us at home, and anyone you are dating we will try to connect you,” she said.

Yarmaishinkafi urged the applicants to remain prayerful and contented as some immediate and unscreened wedlock at times give birth to undesirable outcomes.

The initiative operates under the Shari’a-based security board and married thousands of beneficiaries in the last decades, thereby reducing the number of unmarried populace in the state.
