Kachalla Damina, a notorious kidnapping kingpin has been killed by combined efforts of security forces alongside several of his foot soldiers in Dansadau District of Maru LGA in Zamfara State.
Damina, the mastermind of abduction of over 100 people in 3 communities of Maru LGA was also said to be behind several abductions in communities of Gusau, Tsafe and Bangudu local government areas of Zamfara state.
WikkiTimes understand that Damina who was battling with serious gunshots after clashes with troops of Operation Hadarin Daji in Dansadau before his dead, was killed alongside over fourty of his foot soldiers riding on motorcycles.
Zagazola Makama, a Counter Intelligence Analyst in the Lake Chad Basin, reported that the successful air raid took place following information received of a large number of bandits attempting to attack Corner Village in Bungudu LGA on March 10, 2024.
According to Makama, out of the 58 motorcycles of bandits that were heading for mission, only 11 fighters returned, many of them without their fighters.
“More than 50 bandits were neutrialised with several motorcycles destroyed. This attack was the biggest and one of the most devastating against the bandit groups”.
“The armed forces are hunting down prominent terrorist leaders and engaging them wherever they are hiding,” Malama quoted his sources.
