Two Killed in Jigawa Robbery Attack

Unknown gunmen have attacked Malam-Madori Local Government Area of Jigawa State, killing two children of the same mother and charted away an unspecified sum of money from residents.

According to locals, the heavily armed gunmen numbering about 20 attacked the area around 2:00 am on Wednesday when most of them were asleep, robbing residents of their hard-earned money.

The gunmen, WikkiTimes learnt, first attacked the residence of a Jigawa State prominent trader, Faruq Abdullahi, where they robbed him of over N1 million, before proceeding to the residence of Mama Yan Biyu, where they killed her two sons and shot her in the hand.

Suspected Criminals Arrested in Jigawa

Spokesman for Jigawa State Police Command, Shi’isu Lawan Adam, confirmed the incident to WikkiTimes.

“There was an armed robbery at Maman Biyu’s house located at Abuja Quarters Malam Madori LGA. One Richard Amos ‘M’ aged 15 years and Cyril Amos ‘M’ aged 12 years, were shot dead by armed robbers while Maman Biyu ‘F’ sustained injuries on her hand.

“Their remains, and victim, were taken to Hadejia General Hospital and confirmed dead by a medical doctor,” Adam told WikkiTimes.

He said efforts are ongoing to arrest the culprits and bring them to book.
