We Are Ready to Deal with Any Security Threat in Yobe- Army Sector Commander

The new Sector Commander, Sector 2 Northeast Joint Taskforce of Operation Hadin Kai has assured that they are ready to face any security threat in Yobe State.

Brigadier-general MCE Ejike, the new Sector Commander said having known the terrain of the state, his men will find it easy to dealt with any element trying to disrupt the existing peace enjoyed by citizens of the state.

Ejike while on a familiarization visit to Yobe State Governor at the Government House in Damaturu, said “I am not a stranger in Yobe state, l know the terrain quite well because l have  served here previously in various capacities, and this has efficiently prepared me for the assignment”.

He called on the government and the communities to support the military to execute its mandate with success.

Earlier, Yobr State Governor, Mai Mala Buni said his administration is committed to give all necessary support to all security agencies in the task ahead.

“We are collectively in the fight against insecurity together,  l want to assure you the cooperation of the state government, traditional, community, and opinion leaders, and the entire people of the state.

Buni, while expressing satisfaction with the working synergy among security agencies in the state, hoped that the new commander would contribute to the improved security across the state.

Mamman Mohammed, the DG Press and Media Affairs to the governor quoted Buni commending the new commander for taking some daring steps to keep the military on the offensive against possible threats.

“This administration will continue to support all the security agencies and especially the military in the task of maintaining sustainable peace and security in the state” he added.
