Bauchi State Executive Committee of the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP has elected Barrister Ahmed Farouq Gwadabe as its interim Chairman following the resignation of Shehu Barau Ningi.
The Executive Committee in a communique issued at the end of its special meeting on Saturday resolved that Farouq Gwadabe will lead the party in Bauchi State in interim capacity a convention that will elect a substantive Chairman.
The Communique revealed that “out of the 16 State EXCO members of the party, 11 voted in Gwadabe’s favour.”
Exercising its veto powers, the Executive Committee accepted the resignation of Shehu Barau Ningi as both member and state Chairman of the party.
WikkiTimes reports that Shehu Barau Ningi had on Monday tendered his resignation to the party saying he was made ‘a Scapegoat’ in the party.
The communique quoted the executive committee of the PRP in Bauchi as wishing Ningi success in his future undertakings.
“The Executive Committee of the party, on behalf of the Bauchi State Chapter of the party has reaffirmed its loyalty, satisfaction and confidence in the leadership of the party’s National Executive Committee under the Chairmanship of Alhaji Falalu Bello.”
“The Executive Committee pledged its unalloyed confidence that Alhaji Falalu Bello will reposition and take the party to greater
heights”, the communique read.
