Dr. Aminu Gamawa, Harvard law expert among 20 Bauchi Commissioners nominated for screening

Dr. Aminu Gamawa, a legal professional and policy expert is among the 20 commissioners nominated by Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed.

Dr. Gamawa holds a Master’s and Doctorate degree in law from Harvard Law School at Harvard University and teaches Ethics and Professional Responsibility; Social Justice and Public Interest Law; and Public International Law at Baze University in Abuja.

He is an astute public commentator on BBC, VOA, DW and has earned recognition among Hausa listeners of the media platforms.

Some of the nominees include Dr. Aliyu Tilde, an ace columnists and public commentator, Dr. Ladan Salihu, former Director General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, and Professor Adamu Ahmad from Ningi LGA.

Others are Pharm. Samaila Burga, Tafawa Balewa local government, Abdulrazak Nuhu  Zaki, Warji local government area, Alh. Nura Manu Soro, Ganjuwa local government; Hon Auwal Jatau, Zaki local government; Muhammad Sadiq, Dass local government; Abdulkadir Muhammed Chika Soro, Alkaleri local government and Hajiya Hajara, Itas/Gadau local government.

Turaki Muhammad Manga, Misau local government area, Mr Jidauna Tula Mbami, Bogoro local government; Sarki Aliyu Jalam, Dambam local government; Umar Abubakar Sade, Darazo local governmentt; Usman Muhammad, Giade local government; Hon. Moddibo Abdulkadir, Jama’are local government; Alhaji Umaru Adamu, Katagum local government; Yakubu Bello Kirfi, Kirfi local government and Hamisu M. Shira, Shira local government are also among the commissioners designate.

The nominees are expected to be screened by the state House of Assembly following which they will be sworn in and assigned portfolios by governor Bala Mohammed.
