Governor Bala Mohammed assigns portfolios to newly appointed commissioners 4 days after swearing-in

Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed has on Monday approved the postings of his newly appointed commissioners to various ministries in the state.

Recalled that the commissioners were sworn-in last week Friday by Governor Bala at the multipurpose indoor sports hall Bauchi without mentioning their portfolios.

A press statement signed by the Secretary to the state Government, Alhaji Mohammed Sabi’u Baba, indicated that, Professor Adamu Ahmed was posted to Ministry of Lands and Survey, Aliyu Usman Tilde, Ministry of Education including Higher Education while Abdulkadir Ibrahim was posted to Ministry of Works and Transport.

Others according to the statement are Umar Abubakar Sade, Ministry of Power, Science and Technology, Mr Jidauna Tula Mbami, Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Hajara Jibrin Gidado, Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Development while Dr. Aminu Hassan Gamawa is Ministry of Budget and
Economic Development.

The rest include, Turaki Mohammed Manga, Ministry of Special Duties, Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ahmed Aliyu Jalam, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Social Welfare, Modibbo U Ahmed, Ministry of
Culture and Tourism while Dr Ladan Salihu, the spokesman to the Governor was assigned Information and communication ministry.

According to the statement, Sama’ila Ibn Adamu is to man the ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Barrister Yakubu Bello Kirfi, Ministry of Justice, Usman Mohammed Saleh, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development while Hamisu Shira is to take care of the Environment and Housing ministry.

The statement further informed that, Mohammed Sadiq was posted to Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Nura Manu Soro, Ministry of Finance, Umaru Sanda Adamu, Ministry of Water Resources while Auwal Mohammed Jatau was posted to Ministry of Health.
