Midnight Invasion: Robbers Steal N700,000 from Kano Student, Shoot His Father

Sadiq Saadu Jalli, a 200-level student of Aliko Dangote Science and Technology University in Kano State, has detailed how hoodlums stole N700,000 from him and shot his father.

Jalli told WikkiTimes that his father was shot when armed robbers, numbering about 10, invaded their residence in Dawaki Tofa on Tuesday. Jalli was also macheted on his hand.

“We were in bed about to sleep when we heard an unusual knock on our doors around 12: 30 am on Tuesday,” Jalli told WikkiTimes. “I asked them who they were but none of them answered me. After some silence, they broke into our apartment and shot my dad in his leg.”

“The robbers further asked me where my money was and they went inside our room to take away N700,000 and other valuable items in the house,” he continued. “I narrowly escaped when the robbers demanded money again. My father and I were taken to Murtala Mohammed Hospital in Kano for treatment.”

Abdullahi Haruna, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Kano Command was not available for comment. As of press time, a text message sent to him had not been responded to.
