N26,800 Vanished from Businessman FCMB’s Account. The Bank Says Nothing Could Be Done

Faruck Peter, an Abuja-based businessman, has accused First City Monument Bank (FCMB) of negligence after deducting N26,800 from his account.

Prior to this, Peter had deposited the money into his account on August 1, 2022. “But it was later deducted without any transaction,” he told WikkiTimes.

“When I visited the bank, they asked me if anybody called me to share details with him and I answered them no,” Peter continued. “One of the customer care said the deducted money had gone already and nothing could be done to retrieve my money.”

When WikkiTimes contacted the bank, female customer care said “the customer’s money was transferred via mobile,” adding she would not involve a third party in the retrieval process.
