WikkiTimes had earlier reported WikkiTimes had earlier reported that Governor Yusuf had fingered his predecessor for having sold many public properties to his cronies. The governor, however, recovered them and bulldozed some buildings erected on the properties.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Governor Yusuf disclosed this while hosting the Emir of Gaya, Aliyu Abdulkadir, who paid him a Sallah homage.

It added that the governor directed the commissioner for Health, Dr Abubakar Labaran, to ensure the smooth restoration of the health centre.

The governor assured that his administration would continue to prioritise healthcare services to ensure smooth policy delivery across the state.

While expressing concern over the sanitary situation in the state, he reiterated the NNPP-led administration’s commitment to refuse evacuation and management.

According to the governor, his administration is not pursuing any vendetta but working towards the progress of the state.

He challenged critics to keep records of his work and judge him after he has finished his tenure, questioning why anyone in power can take public property and convert it for personal use.

On his part, the monarch told the governor that the emirate council had set up a vigilante group towards enhancing security and peaceful coexistence among residents.
