Terrorists Attack Soldiers In Plateau

Nigerian Army troops stationed around Zurak Kampani in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State were attacked by suspected terrorists on Saturday.

Locals say the terrorists raided the community when residents were going about their daily business activities as it was their market day.

According to a resident of Wase town, Abdullahi Usman, one soldier was killed and another was wounded by the terrorists during the attack. He added that the soldiers later responded to the attack.

However, speaking to Daily Trust, the spokesperson of the multi-security taskforce in the state, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Major Ishaku Takwa, who confirmed the incident, refuted claims that a soldier had died during the raid.

In recent times, Wase communities have been suffering invasions, which compelled many to leave their homes, WikkiTimes learnt.
